Realme C51 First Sale In India Today: “One-Day Special” Event For Budget Android Smartphone

Realme launched the latest smartphone in its affordable and budget-friendly Realme C series in India earlier this week. Although the open sale for the Realme C51 is a few days away, Realme has scheduled a "Special Sale" for the smartphone today, September 7, 2023.

The Realme C51 is an aggressively priced Android smartphone that challenges the Xiaomi Redmi A series, POCO C series, and other devices from Lava, Infinix, and others. It features a 90Hz HD+ screen, a 50MP AI rear camera, a 5000mAh battery with 33W SuperVOOC charging over a Type-C port, and much more.

The Realme C51 is available in Mint Green and Carbon Black color options but there's only one variant of the smartphone with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

Realme has priced the C51 very aggressively. The smartphone's 4GB + 64GB model will retail for ₹8,999. However, buyers using SBI or ICICI Bank cards to purchase the Realme C51 will get an instant discount of ₹500, bringing the smartphone's price down to ₹8,499.

The open sale for the Realme C51 will begin on September 11, 2023. However, the feature-packed entry-level smartphone will be available for purchase as part of a special sale today, September 7, 2023, at 6:00 PM. The one-day event will be held online on Flipkart and Realme Store.

Realme C51 Specifications, Features

The Realme C51 features a 6.74-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a 1600 × 720 pixels resolution. The 720p display has a 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, and 560 nits of peak brightness. The Realme C51 features a "Mini-Capsule" feature on top of the display similar to the Apple iPhone.

Realme has embedded the octa-core Unisoc T612 chipset inside the Realme C51. The SoC isn't compatible with 5G networks. However, it is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. A dedicated microSD card slot expands the onboard storage by up to 2TB.

The Realme C51 features a dual rear camera setup, comprising a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and an AI depth sensor. There's a 5MP front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture for selfies, video calls, and face unlock. The smartphone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication.

Realme has embedded a 5000mAh battery inside the Realme C51, which supports 33W SuperVOOC wired fast charging, another rare feature in a budget smartphone. It features a USB-C port for charging and data transfer; and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Realme C51 runs Android 13 operating system with a custom layer of Realme UI T Edition. Some connectivity options of the smartphone include Dual-SIM, 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo.
