Realme recently confirmed its new smartphone, Realme C51, will launch in India today, Monday, 4 September 2023. The brand has further informed that the budget-friendly smartphone will be available on Flipkart and Realme's official Indian e-store.

Being an affordable smartphone, the Realme C51 isn't getting a big launch event. The smartphone should be listed for sale after being announced at 12 PM IST. However, the smartphone could have a significant impact on the Indian smartphone market, especially in the budget and entry-level segments.

Realme is not only expected to price the smartphone very attractively, but the brand has also confirmed early buyers will get a discount of ₹ 500 if they buy the Realme C51 using HDFC, SBI, or ICICI bank cards.

Realme should announce the price of the Realme C51 via its social media accounts as well as on the listing page of the smartphone. Some reports suggest the Realme C51 could be priced below ₹8,000.

The Realme C51 is currently available in Taiwan. The same variant of the device should be launched in India.

The Realme C51 features a 6.7-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. Despite being a 720p screen, it has a smooth 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 560 nits.

Realme has embedded the octa-core Unisoc T612 chipset inside the Realme C51. The SoC isn't compatible with 5G networks. However, it is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There's a dedicated microSD card slot to expand the onboard storage.

The Realme C51 features a dual rear camera setup, comprising a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and a depth sensor. There's a 5MP front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture for selfies, video calls, and face unlock. The smartphone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication.

Realme has embedded a 5000mAh battery inside the Realme C51, which supports 33W SuperVOOC wired fast charging, which is another rare feature in a budget smartphone.

The Realme C51 runs Android 13 operating system with a custom layer of Realme UI T Edition. It features a USB-C port for charging and data transfer.
