Realme launched the Realme C55 in India a few days ago, and the first sale of the smartphone in the country has started. The budget Android smartphone features a 6.52-inch Full HD+ 90Hz IPS LCD screen, 8GB RAM, MediaTek Helio G88 SoC, and much more.

The Realme C55 has a Mini Capsule display, which draws inspiration from the iPhone 14 Pro's Dynamic Island. The latest Realme smartphone supports 33W wired fast charging, which is rare to see in smartphones that are available in the Realme C55's price range.

The Realme C55 is available in two color options: Sunshower and Rainy Night. It ships in multiple storage and RAM configurations.

The Realme C55 base variant has been priced at ₹10,999. It packs 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The model with 6GB RAM has 64GB of internal storage and costs ₹₹11,999. The top-end model of the Realme C55 packs 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It costs ₹13,999.

Realme is offering an instant discount of ₹1,000 for ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank Card transactions. The sale of the Realme C55 has started, and the smartphone is available via Realme Store and Flipkart.

Realme C55 Specifications, Features

The Realme C55 has a 6.52-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD screen with a 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 680 nits. The 1080p screen has a 91.4 percent screen-to-body ratio.

The highlight of the Realme C55 is the iPhone-like Dynamic Island, which the brand calls "Mini Capsule." The "island" displays incoming alerts, battery status (full, low, charging), data usage, steps taken, and distance traveled. It also includes an 8MP front-facing camera.

A 12nm octa-core MediaTek Helio G88 SoC powers the Realme C55, which is paired with ARM Mali G52 2EEMC2 GPU. The smartphone ships with either 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM. Buyers can choose between 64GB and 128GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage. A dedicated slot can accommodate a microSD card of up to 1TB capacity.

The Realme C55 has a dual-camera system on the back, headlined by a 64MP primary camera, and companied by a 2MP depth sensor and an LED flash. There's an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies, video calls, and face unlock. A fingerprint scanner mounted on the side of the smartphone offers biometric authentication in addition to the face unlock feature.

Realme has embedded a 5000mAh battery inside the Realme C55, which supports 33W SuperVOOC wired fast charging via a USB-C port. The smartphone runs RealmeUI 4.0, which is based on Android 13.

The Realme C55 is limited to 4G networks in India. Some of the other notable connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.
