Realme GT 5 confirmed to feature 240W Charging, up to 24GB RAM: Launching Soon

The Realme GT 5 is set to get an official launch date soon. The Realme GT 5 is expected to debut as the first smartphone in the company's line-up to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.

However, Realme's China president Xu Qi Chase recently shared new details about its upcoming flagship smartphone. According to Chase, the Realme GT 5 will come with up to 24GB of RAM. Additionally, the smartphone is also expected to support 240W wired fast charging.

Realme GT 5: What we know so far

24GB of RAM feels like overkill for smartphones but the Realme GT 5 won't be alone here. The Redmi K60 Ultra, Red Magic 8S Pro, and OnePlus Ace 2 Pro have already made their debut with 24GB RAM configurations.

While other details about the Realme GT 5 are still under wraps, the handset appears to be the company's flagship smartphone of 2023. The company is yet to reveal other details about the GT 5, but we know it will succeed the Realme GT 3 that was unveiled earlier this year.

Realme GT 5 Specifications (Expected)

The Realme GT 5 is expected to sport a 6.74-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and will likely come with up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM. It is also expected to feature up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

The Realme GT 5 will come in two variants, with a 4,600 mAh battery that supports 240W fast charging and a 5,200 mAh cell with 150W charging. For optics, the Realme GT 5 could get a 50 MP Sony IMX890 primary sensor paired with an 8 MP ultrawide unit, and a 2 MP macro lens. Up front, the Realme GT 5 could opt for a 16 MP selfie camera.
