Realme GT 7 Pro Confirmed to Feature Smaller Battery in India and Globally Compared to Chinese Counterpart
The Realme GT 7 Pro is set to make its debut in India next week as the first smartphone to incorporate the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip in the country. While the company has been gradually teasing details about its upcoming flagship, the phone has already been unveiled in China giving us a good idea about its specifications.
However, a recent teaser by Realme, reveals that the GT 7 Pro will use a significantly smaller battery in India. Realme also confirmed the complete update schedule for its latest Android 15-based Realme UI 6.0 update.

Realme GT 7 Pro Reduced Battery Capacity
According to an official post on X (formerly Twitter), the Realme GT 7 Pro will use a 5,800 mAh battery in India and globally. While a 5,800 mAh cell is quite large so far as smartphone batteries are concerned, it pales in comparison of the 6,500 mAh cell on the Realme GT 7 Pro in China.
Realme is has not explained by the GT 7 Pro will feature a smaller battery in Indian and global markets yet. Additionally, charging support on the Realme GT 7 Pro remains unchanged at 120W. The company also claimed that the GT 7 Pro's Realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15 will offer "iOS-level smoothness".
Realme GT 7 Pro Launch, Pricing, Key Specifications
The Realme GT 7 Pro launch date in India is set for November 26 at 12 noon IST. Following its launch, the Realme GT 7 Pro will go on sale in India through Amazon. Additionally, pre-bookings for the Realme GT 7 Pro in India kick off today.
The Realme GT 7 Pro price in China starts from CNY 3,699 (roughly Rs 43,100). While no official information has been provided, we believe the Realme GT 7 Pro will be the most affordable Snapdragon 8 Elite smartphone in India, starting from under Rs 50,000 with offers.
The Realme GT 7 Pro features a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, a 1.5K LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a triple-camera setup, and an IP68 + IP69 rating for resistance to dust and water.
