Realme GT 7 Set to Launch in China on April 23 With Dimensity 9400+ and GT Performance Engine 2.0
Realme has officially confirmed the launch date for its next flagship smartphone, the GT 7. The device will debut in China on April 23, powered by MediaTek's new Dimensity 9400+ chipset.
With this launch, Realme is positioning the GT 7 as a phone focused on both performance and efficiency, particularly under the 3,000 yuan price mark (roughly ₹35,355).

Dimensity 9400+ Makes Its Debut
The GT 7 will be among the first phones to ship with the Dimensity 9400+, a new 3nm chip from MediaTek. It joins a shortlist of early adopters, including the new Find X8s series from OPPO. Instead of just highlighting peak benchmarks, Realme says it has focused on how the chip performs under real-world workloads.
According to company VP Chase Xu, the tuning is aimed at balancing raw power with consistent performance. The emphasis seems to be on keeping the phone responsive during common tasks like gaming, multitasking, and daily app use, rather than pushing for high synthetic test scores.
Performance Management With GT Performance Engine 2.0
To support this tuning, the GT 7 will introduce GT Performance Engine 2.0, a new software layer that dynamically adjusts how the phone manages heat, power, and speed based on what you're doing. While details are limited, the goal appears to be smarter resource allocation, especially when switching between demanding tasks.
It's not a unique approach in the smartphone world, but it's notable that Realme is openly discussing this system-level management instead of just pointing to specs.
AI and System Behavior
The GT 7 is also expected to make better use of on-device AI, although Realme hasn't shared specific features yet. Given the capabilities of the new chipset, users can likely expect smarter background processing, some UI enhancements, and possibly improved camera behavior-part of a broader trend toward more intelligent system design.
Battery and Charging
Battery life looks like a key focus here. The GT 7 is rumored to include a single-cell battery rated above 7,000mAh, which is unusually large even for phones with big batteries. Despite that, the device is reportedly thinner and lighter than its predecessor, the GT 6, which weighed 207g and measured 8.4mm thick.
Charging is also getting a boost, with support for 100W fast charging revealed in recent certifications.
