The Realme GT 8 Pro has officially been unveiled as the company's first Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 smartphone. Apart from the new Snapdragon chip, the Realme GT 8 Pro will feature a swapable camera module, while the cameras will leverage Realme's partnership with Ricoh to improve the phone's imaging capabilities.

The Realme GT 8 Pro price in China starts from CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs 49,450) for the base 12GB/256GB model. Moreover, the Realme GT 8 Pro is also offered in these configurations:

16GB/256GB: CNY 4,299 (roughly Rs 53,150)
12GB/512GB: CNY 4,499 (roughly Rs 55,600)
16GB/512GB: CNY 4,699 (roughly Rs 58,100)
16GB/1TB: CNY 5,199 (roughly Rs 64,250)

The Realme GT 8 Pro comes in Green, White, and Blue shades. The Realme GT 8 Pro will make its debut as the first Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 smartphone in India next month. We expect the Realme GT 8 Pro price in India to start from Rs 60,000.

Realme GT 8 Pro Specifications

The GT8 series is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. This setup ensures smooth performance for gaming and multitasking. The phones also include a large cooling system to manage heat effectively during intensive tasks.

The GT8 series is equipped with a robust 7,000 mAh battery. The GT8 supports 100W fast charging, while the Pro model offers 120W charging alongside 50W wireless flash charging. This ensures quick power-ups, reaching full charge in under 45 minutes.

The Realme GT8 series runs on Android 16 with Realme UI 7.0 on top. It boasts IP66 + IP68 + IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, ensuring durability in various environments.

For optics, the Realme GT 8 Pro features a triple-camera setup that includes a 50MP Ricoh GR anti-glare with 1/1.56″ primary sensor, OIS, and f/1.8 aperture. The main camera is paired with a 50MP ultrawide lens with an f/2.0 aperture and a 200MP Samsung HP5 periscope-telephoto shooter with 3x optical zoom, OIS, and an f/2.6 aperture. Up front, the Realme GT 8 Pro opts for a 32MP selfie camera with an f/2.4 aperture.

Realme has collaborated with Ricoh Imaging Company for the GT8 Pro's camera system. This partnership introduces features from Ricoh's GR series, including an ultra-high transparency lens group that meets Ricoh GR optical standards. The camera system promises high anti-glare performance and minimal distortion for clear images.

The GT8 Pro includes a "Ricoh GR Mode" with a customized interface resembling Ricoh GR cameras. It offers fast operation, snap mode for quick captures, and viewfinder mode for unobstructed framing. Users can enjoy two focal lengths: 28mm for wide scenes and 40mm for focused shots.

The GT8 Pro showcases a unique mechanical assembly design with detachable Deco options, allowing users to personalise their device's appearance. Available colours include classic white, calm blue, and fresh green, each offering distinct textures and materials.
