Realme GT 8, Realme GT 8 Pro Launch Date Confirmed for October 21: India Launch Set for November 2025
Realme has officially confirmed the launch date for its upcoming flagship smartphones in China. The Realme GT 8 series will include the Realme GT 8 and GT 8 Pro. Realme has also partnered with Ricoh GR to fine tune the cameras on the GT 8 series. Additionally, the Realme GT 8 Pro will also feature a dedicated R1 gaming chip.
Realme GT 8 Series Launch
The Realme GT 8 and GT 8 Pro launch date in China is set for October 21 at 03:00 pm local time or 12:30 pm IST. The Realme GT 8 series launch will be streamed live on the company's official Weibo account.

Moreover, the Realme GT 8 Pro is set to make its debut in India in November. It will be the first smartphone to incorporate the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip in India.
Realme GT 8 Pro Specifications (Expected)
The Realme GT 8 Pro is anticipated to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. It might come with up to 16GB of RAM and offer storage options up to 512GB. The phone could also include a large 7,000 mAh battery supporting fast charging at 120W.
In terms of durability, the smartphone could feature an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance. An in-display fingerprint sensor is also likely to be included for added security. These features aim to enhance user experience and device longevity.
The Realme GT 8 Pro's display is set to impress with its advanced specifications. The device will feature a flat 6.85-inch 2K OLED screen that supports a high refresh rate of up to 144Hz. This ensures smooth visuals whether you're gaming or streaming content on your phone.
For optics, the Realme GT 8 Pro is expected to have a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-808 primary sensor with OIS and may include a 50-megapixel Samsung JN5 ultrawide lens. It could also feature a 200-megapixel Samsung HP5 periscope telephoto shooter with OIS. The Realme GT 8 Pro will also feature a swapable camera module.

The Realme GT 8 Pro, in partnership with Ricoh Imaging, will introduce a new camera system for high-quality photography. It will have an ultra-high transparency lens group meeting Ricoh GR optical standard. Realme's GT 8 Pro will feature five Classic Ricoh GR Tones: Standard, Positive Film, Negative Film, Monotone, and High-Contrast B&W.

The Realme GT 8 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The phone will likely feature the same battery capacity and charging speed as the 'Pro' model. The Realme GT 8 could also sport a 6.6-inch 1.5K OLED display with a similar 144Hz refresh rate.
For optics, the Realme GT 8 will likely opt for a 50MP Sony LYT-808 primary sensor with OIS, a downgraded 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP telephoto periscope shooter with OIS. The vanilla Realme GT 8 will likely lose out on the Ricoh partnership. Both the phones will feature an IP68+IP69 rating and run Android 16-based Realme UI 7.
