Realme May Kill Narzo Lineup to Make Way for New ‘N’ Series on Amazon India

Realme is once again shuffling its smartphone strategy in India. After already confirming that it’s trimming down to three core series—GT, Numbered, and the newly introduced P-series—the company is now reportedly planning to discontinue its Narzo lineup. This time, the brand might replace it with a fresh 'N’ series, designed specifically for Amazon India.

This comes straight from industry insider Yogesh Brar and a SmartPrix report, following recent hints dropped by Realme India’s Chief Marketing Officer, Francis Wong. Wong had earlier confirmed a new online-only series was coming around Diwali. This new N-series could be it.

What Happens to Narzo?

Narzo has always been Realme’s online-first sub-brand, with most of its momentum tied to e-commerce channels like Amazon. But in recent months, the lineup has seen fewer launches and even less attention. Now, its quiet exit seems more intentional than accidental.

The incoming N-series is expected to occupy the same space Narzo once did: affordable smartphones under ₹20,000. While we don’t have confirmed specs yet, the shift points to a clearer divide in how Realme wants to position its products across platforms.

A Split Strategy: Amazon Gets N, Flipkart Gets P

This move isn’t random. Realme seems to be taking a cue from Samsung’s India playbook. Samsung splits its budget phones into the M-series for Amazon and the F-series for Flipkart. Realme appears to be doing the same with its new P-series (Flipkart) and upcoming N-series (Amazon).

Instead of overlapping offerings and confusing model names, this dual-platform approach simplifies things. You shop on Amazon? You’ll likely see the N-series. Prefer Flipkart? You’ll find the P-series there. It’s clean, direct, and helps the brand tailor its launches for each retail partner.

Rebranded Phones? Possibly

Given how closely the P and N series might align, there’s a strong chance we’ll see similar or even rebranded phones on both platforms—just dressed up under different names. It’s not a new trick in the industry, but it does help Realme scale without overcomplicating its product catalog.

All Eyes on Diwali Launch Window

Wong’s earlier comments about a new online-only series launching around Diwali now make more sense. That could very well be when we see the first N-series phone drop. If it plays out this way, it’ll also mark the end of Narzo as we know it—at least in India.

There’s still no official confirmation from Realme on the N-series name, so take it with a pinch of salt for now. But given how much the brand has been reorganizing its lineup, this fits the pattern.
