Realme Neo 7 Key Specifications Confirmed Ahead of Launch: Dimensity 9300+ SoC, 7,000mAh Battery, and More

Realme has been steadily revealing details about its upcoming smartphone, the Neo 7, ahead of its official launch on December 11. With specifications ranging from display innovations to a powerful chipset, the Neo 7 is shaping up as a noteworthy addition to Realme's portfolio.

Design

Realme has announced two distinct color options for the Neo 7:

• Meteorite Black, which draws inspiration from space meteorites and is described as bold and steady.

• Submarine Blue, reflecting the mystery of deep-sea exploration.

The phone will feature a flat frame design, with the power button and volume rocker positioned on the right side. The absence of antenna lines hints at a possible non-metallic frame, though the exact material hasn't been confirmed.

There will also be a Starship Edition with a futuristic back panel design inspired by space themes, while the regular model is expected to have a more conventional appearance.

Display

The Realme Neo 7 will feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen, built using a custom BOE S2 panel. Realme has highlighted its 6,000 nits peak brightness, which ensures visibility even under challenging lighting conditions. The display also includes 8T LTPO technology, game HDR support, and a 2,600Hz touch sampling rate, offering responsiveness suited to gaming and multimedia use.

For eye comfort, the device incorporates hardware-level full brightness DC dimming, has received TUV Intelligent Eye Protection Certification 3.0, and uses High-Frequency PWM dimming to minimize strain during prolonged use.

Durability Features

Durability is an area where Realme seems to have focused considerable effort. The screen is protected by crystal armor glass, which the company claims has passed tests for 5,000 steel wool scratches and 1.5-meter drops. Additionally, the Neo 7 comes with a nano velvet gaming protective film that reportedly increases smoothness by 30%, improves longevity by 3.3 times, and enhances hardness by three levels.

Performance and Battery

The Neo 7 will be powered by the Dimensity 9300+ chipset, which Realme has paired with its GT Performance Engine for improved gaming and multitasking. To ensure sustained performance, the device includes a 7,700mm² single VC heat dissipation system. The phone could launch with multiple RAM options, including 6GB, 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB, paired with storage configurations of 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB.

Powering the phone is a 7,000mAh battery, which should support extensive usage for a range of activities without frequent charging.

Camera Setup

The Neo 7 features a dual rear camera system, consisting of a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. On the front, it has a 16MP camera for selfies and video calls. The device also incorporates Realme's HyperImage+ branding, seen on flagship models like the GT 7 Pro, which is expected to enhance image quality and processing.

Launch Details and Availability

The Realme Neo 7 is scheduled to launch in China on December 11 at 4:00 PM local time (2:30 AM IST). Ahead of its official debut, the smartphone is available for pre-booking through Realme's official website and leading e-commerce platforms in the country. The device is expected to be priced at CNY 2,499, which roughly converts to Rs. 29,100.

As of now, Realme has not provided any details about the Neo 7's launch in India.
