Realme has officially launched its latest budget smartphone, the Realme Note 60, in Indonesia. As the successor to last year's Note 50, the Note 60 brings several noteworthy upgrades while maintaining a competitive price point.

Display and Design

The Realme Note 60 features a 6.74-inch IPS LCD with a Full HD+ resolution, delivering a sharp and vibrant display. The screen supports a 90Hz refresh rate, providing smoother scrolling and improved overall responsiveness. The display is also capable of reaching up to 560 nits of peak brightness, matching the performance of its predecessor.

In terms of design, the Note 60 comes with a flat, sleek body available in two colors: Voyage Blue and Marble Black. The phone also features an IP64 rating, offering dust and splash resistance, an improvement from the IP54 rating of the Note 50. Additionally, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor adds a layer of security and convenience.

Performance and Hardware

Under the hood, the Realme Note 60 is powered by the Unisoc T612 chipset, an octa-core processor that has proven reliable in budget smartphones. The device is available in multiple configurations, with RAM options of 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB. Notably, the top-tier variant supports an additional 16GB of virtual RAM, making a total of 24GB of available memory for multitasking and demanding applications.
Storage options are also versatile, ranging from 64GB to 256GB, with the ability to expand up to 2TB via a microSD card. This ensures ample space for apps, photos, and videos.

Camera Upgrades

One of the significant upgrades in the Note 60 is its camera system. The primary camera on the back has been upgraded to a 32MP sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, offering better image quality compared to the 13MP camera found in the Note 50. This upgrade should result in sharper and more detailed photos, especially in low-light conditions. There is also an auxiliary lens, likely a QVGA module, although specifics on this secondary camera are not provided.

For selfies, the Note 60 houses a 5MP front-facing camera, situated in a notch at the top of the display. While this may not be the most advanced front camera on the market, it should be sufficient for basic photo needs and video calls.

Battery and Software

The Realme Note 60 is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery, which is standard for budget smartphones, providing solid battery life for everyday use. The device supports 10W charging via a USB Type-C port. While the charging speed may seem modest compared to some of the more expensive models, it is consistent with what is typically offered in this price range.

On the software side, the Note 60 runs Android 14 out of the box, with Realme UI 5.0 layered on top. This latest version of Realme's custom interface is designed to provide a user-friendly experience, with various customization options and features that enhance usability.

Pricing and Availability

The Realme Note 60 is already available for purchase in Indonesia and is expected to reach other markets in the coming weeks. The pricing is competitive, starting at IDR 1,399,000 (approximately $90) for the 4GB/64GB model. The mid-range model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is priced at IDR 1,599,000 (around $103), while the top-tier 8GB/256GB variant is available for IDR 1,999,000 (roughly $129). As part of a limited-time launch offer, the 8GB/256GB model is being sold at a discounted price of IDR 1,899,000 (about $122).
