Realme To Launch New Smartphone Lineup For Indian Offline Market
Realme is reportedly planning to launch a new smartphone series next year in India. The new series will be initially available through offline stores in the country, reports Gadgets 360. According to the report, the company is also planning to set up its exclusive stores in India.
"I would say, all our phones will be available online and offline. But this (the new smartphone series) would be specifically designed mainly for offline customers, and it will also be present online," Madhav Seth, Realme CEO was quoted by Gadgets 360.
He also informed that the company will open only four to five stores in a year. This will allow customers to experience all Realme products, as the company is going to be a tech lifestyle brand. "The exclusive stores by Realme, which were earlier planned to be established in the second quarter of this year, will be formally set up next year -- sometime before the launch of the offline-focussed smartphone series," he added.
For the unaware, the company has already joined hands with Reliance Digital and My Jio stores. At present, there are around 7,000 retail stores that sell Realme products in India. Apart from that, the company also plans to bring its first 5G smartphones in India. In fact, the company has already announced that it will launch a 5G smartphone based on Qualcomm's new series SOC.
The company has launched two smartphones in India -the Realme X2 Pro and the Realme S5. The Realme X2 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 855+ chipset. It packs a 50W Super VOOC Flash charger and is available on two-color variants Neptune Blue and Lunar White.
Besides, the smartphone will be available in two variants: 8GB+128GB priced at Rs. 29,999 and 12GB+256GB priced at Rs. 33,999, and will go on sale from November 26th, 2019. On the other hand, Realme S5 features a 48MP quad-camera and a 5,000 mAh battery. It comes in Crystal Red, Crystal Blue, and Crystal Purple colors and will be available in two variants - 4GB+64GB priced at Rs. 9,999 and 4GB+128GB priced at Rs.10,999. This smartphone will go on sale from November 29th, on Flipkart.com and the company's website.
