Realme UI 6.0 Update for Android 15 Release Date Confirmed for October: What to Expect

Realme is set to launch its UI 6.0 update in China next month, according to a company official's announcement on social media. This update is anticipated to be based on ColorOS 15 for Oppo and OnePlus devices, which will debut in the country on October 17. It may include features powered by artificial intelligence (AI). Recently, Realme introduced six AI features for its Realme GT 6 smartphone in India.

The new update is expected to bring Android 15 to Realme smartphones. Although specific details of the Realme update are not yet disclosed, it is speculated to incorporate features that Google unveiled at its developer conference while announcing its next operating system (OS).

Anticipated Features of Realme UI 6.0

Among the expected features is Private Space, a digital safe for apps users want to keep private. The update might also enhance passkey support with single sign-in capability and allow saving favourite split-screen combinations. Additionally, smartphones could receive OS-level support for app archiving and unarchiving.

For developers, the update may introduce new methods to refine app experiences further. They might be able to optimise performance across various Android releases. It includes Matrix44 and other canvas drawing capabilities, enabling developers to manipulate the canvas in 3D and create complex shapes by intersecting shaders.

Kangda Leo, Product Manager of realme UI, announced on Weibo that Realme UI 6.0 will be launched in China in October. Although an exact date wasn't provided, speculation suggests it might coincide with the ColorOS 15 release.

A report indicates that Android 15 may utilise Bluetooth LE Audio technology to improve spatial audio experiences on smartphones. This enhancement could significantly elevate audio quality for users.

In India, Realme recently rolled out AI features like Magic Compose, AI Ultra Clarity, AI night mode, and AI Eraser 2.0 for its performance-focused smartphone, Realme GT 6. Xiaomi has also been active with recent launches such as the Xiaomi Mix Flip featuring a 50-megapixel camera and the Xiaomi 14T Pro equipped with Dimensity 9300+ SoC.
