RedMagic 11 Pro Series Gaming Smartphones with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC Launched
RedMagic has launched its latest gaming smartphones, the RedMagic 11 Pro and 11 Pro+, in China. These devices are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. The company claims an impressive score of 4.35 million on AnTuTu 11. They offer up to 24GB of LPDDR5T RAM and a maximum of 1TB UFS 4.1 PRO storage.
The phones boast a 6.85-inch OLED BOE X10 display with a resolution of 1.5K and a refresh rate reaching up to 144Hz. The screen-to-body ratio is an impressive 95.3%, with peak brightness hitting 2000 nits. Additionally, they support high-frequency PWM dimming at up to 2592Hz and DC dimming.

Cooling System and Design
A dual liquid-and-air cooling system is featured in the RedMagic 11 Pro series to handle heat during intense usage. This system incorporates liquid cooling, typically seen in high-end PCs, into the smartphone's design. It uses an AI-server-grade fluorinated liquid that functions between -60°C and 108°C, ensuring non-conductivity.
The air-cooling component includes an upgraded Turbo Fan 4.0, spinning at a speed of 24,000 rpm. This works alongside a four-layer thermal management system comprising a 4D Cooler VC system and Liquid Metal 3.0, which RedMagic claims enhances overall cooling efficiency by half.
Cameras, Battery, Software, Gaming Features
The phone's flat-edge design lacks a camera bump and comes in Transparent Black, Transparent Silver, Black, and Silver finishes. For controls, it features a Synaptics touch chip with a touch sampling rate of up to 3,000Hz, shoulder triggers at 520Hz, and a fingerprint sensor using ultrasonic technology.
For photography enthusiasts, the device offers dual main cameras with each having a resolution of 50MP and a front-facing under-screen camera of 16MP. The camera system is equipped with AI-powered features such as Object Removal and Image Expansion for enhanced imaging capabilities.
The RedMagic11 Pro+ is equipped with a silicon-carbon battery of 7500mAh capacity supporting fast charging at 120W along with wireless charging at 80W. Meanwhile, the REDMAGIC 11 Pro houses an even larger battery capacity of 8000mAh supporting fast charging at up to 80W.
The RedMagic OS version on these phones includes an AI assistant named MORA offering features like AI Social for message generation, AI Object Recognition, and AI Screen Search; however, these are exclusive to the Chinese version of the operating system.
