Redmi 13 5G Launch Date in India set for July 9: Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, 108 MP Camera Confirmed

Xiaomi has officially confirmed the launch date of a new budget smartphone in India. The Redmi 13 5G succeeds last year's Redmi 12 5G (Review), which was a contender for budget smartphone of the year.

Redmi 13 5G India Launch: What to Expect?

The Redmi 13 5G launch date in India is set for July 09, 2024, at 12 noon (IST). Following its launch, the Redmi 13 5G will go on sale in India via Amazon. We believe the Redmi 13 5G price in India will start from under Rs 15,000.

Xiaomi has also partnered with Indian Actor Nora Fatehi as the brand partner for the Redmi 13 5G, highlighting the phone's stylish appearance. To celebrate the launch of the Redmi 13C, the company recently announced that its predecessor, the Redmi 12 5G, crossed 4 million users in India.

Redmi 13 5G Specifications (Confirmed)

The Redmi 13 5G is equipped with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC paired with the Adreno 613 GPU, the same chip that powers the Redmi 12 5G. Xiaomi has also confirmed that the Redmi 13 5G will feature the largest display on a 5G smartphone in the segment, although the exact size hasn't been mentioned.

The Redmi 13 5G will also feature a dual-camera setup on the back with a 108 MP primary sensor. There's no information about the second lens, although it will likely be a 2 MP shooter. The phone is also confirmed to feature a 5,030 mAh battery with 33W wired fast charging support.

The Redmi 13 5G will be offered in two color options including Light Blue and Light Pink. Redmi has also confirmed that the handset will debut as the only smartphone in the segment to offer "dual sided glass', opting for Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the front and a glass back panel. The Redmi 13 5G is also confirmed to run Android 14-based HyperOS out of the box.
