REDMI 15 5G Affordable Phone with Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 SoC, 144Hz Display, 7000mAh Battery Launched in India

The REDMI 15 5G has officially been unveiled in India's affordable segment. The REDMI 15 5G succeeds last year's REDMI 13 5G, while getting several upgrades in the performance, battery, software, and display departments.

The REDMI 15 5G features a super-smooth display, a massive battery despite its sleek profile, fast charging support, solid software support, and a Snapdragon chipset. According to Xiaomi, the REDMI 15 5G debuts as the slimmest smartphone in India with a 7,000 mAh battery.

REDMI 15 Price in India

The REDMI 15 5G price in India starts from Rs 14,999 for the base 6GB/128GB model. Moreover, it also comes in an 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB configuration that costs Rs 15,999 and Rs 16,999, respectively.

The REDMI 15 5G will go on sale in India through Amazon, mi.com, and Xiaomi Retail stores across the country from August 28. The REDMI 15 5G is offered in Midnight Black, Frosted White, and Sandy Purple color options.

REDMI 15 5G Specifications

Xiaomi's latest affordable REDMI phone is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of expandable UFS 2.2 storage. The REDMI 15 5G also sports the segment's largest 6.9-inch LCD screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. The display comes with TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light, Flicker-Free, and Circadian Friendly certifications to help reduce eye strain.

The REDMI 15 5G also packs a massive 7,000 mAh silicon carbon battery with 33W fast charging support through the adapter included in the box. The handset also supports 18W reserve wired charging. For optics, the REDMI 15 5G boasts a dual AI camera setup that includes a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.75 aperture and an unnamed secondary sensor.

Up front, there's an 8MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture. The camera system comes with a couple if AI features (AI Erase and AI Sky) and various filters. Moreover, the REDMI 15 5G features a plastic back panel with an aerospace-grade metal camera deco. It also comes with an IP64 rating for resistance to dust and water.
