Redmi 15 And Note 15 5G Price In India Hiked By Rs 2,000 Across All Variants: Check New Prices
If you've been sitting on the fence about the Redmi 15 5G or the Redmi Note 15 5G, here's something you'll want to know. Both phones are now Rs 2,000 more expensive, and the new prices kick in starting today.
The hike showed up in a leaked Xiaomi partner document shared by tipster Sanju Choudhary on X. It's an internal communication going out to Mi Home stores and offline trade partners, dated 25 May 2026.

The New Prices
Redmi 15 5G:
- 6GB plus 128GB: Rs 18,499 → Rs 20,499
- 8GB plus 128GB: Rs 20,499 → Rs 22,499
- 8GB plus 256GB: Rs 22,499 → Rs 24,499
Redmi Note 15 5G:
- 8GB plus 128GB: Rs 24,999 → Rs 26,999
- 8GB plus 256GB: Rs 27,999 → Rs 29,999
Same Rs 2,000 bump across the board.
Why Phones Are Getting Costlier In 2026
Redmi isn't alone in this. Pretty much every brand selling phones in India is either raising prices or quietly tweaking specs to manage costs. The root of it is a global RAM shortage and surging demand from AI data centres, which has pushed memory prices up sharply.
Memory makers are prioritising high-margin HBM and server-grade DRAM for AI hyperscalers, which leaves smartphone-grade LPDDR5 and NAND in short supply.
Should You Still Buy It?
If you're shopping online, Flipkart, Amazon, and mi.com sometimes take a day or two to reflect offline price changes. Bank offers and ongoing sale discounts could ease the bump, too. Worth checking before you tap buy.
