The Redmi 15C 5G is being introduced in India on December 3, but Xiaomi has not clarified the launch format. The phone may arrive via a dedicated streamed event or a quieter online release. After launch, it will be sold through Amazon and the Xiaomi India online store.
Reports suggest the Redmi 15C 5G base model with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage could cost Rs. 12,499. Two higher configurations, 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB, are rumoured at Rs. 13,999 and Rs. 14,999. That would place it above the Redmi 14C 5G, which started at Rs. 9,999 for 4GB + 64GB.
Redmi 15C 5G Specifications and Features
The handset is confirmed to use the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Internal storage is UFS 2.2, capped at 128GB across variants. On the software side, the Redmi 15C 5G will run Android 15-based HyperOS 2 out of the box, according to Xiaomi.
For imaging, the Redmi 15C 5G is set to feature an AI dual rear camera arrangement. The primary sensor will have a 50-megapixel resolution. The teaser listing that revealed these details also appeared beside mentions of other phones, including Samsung Galaxy S26, HMD XploraOne, and Poco C85 5G, which are expected to bring separate feature updates.
The Redmi 15C 5G will contain a 6,000mAh battery, which Xiaomi claims is designed for long-term durability. The brand states the cell should retain 80 percent of its original capacity after 1,000 charge cycles. Endurance figures released by Xiaomi include extended video, audio, and standby performance estimates.
The Redmi 15C 5G is expected in three colours: Midnight Black, Moonlight Blue, and Dusk Purple. With a higher projected launch price than the Redmi 14C 5G, the phone aims to offer a faster screen, newer software, and a larger battery for buyers seeking a strong affordable 5G upgrade in India.
