Redmi A3 Launched in India with MediaTek Helio G36 SoC, 90Hz Display: Check Price, Specs, Availability

Xiaomi has officially announced a new affordable smartphone in India. The Redmi A3 is the latest handset from the line-up and arrives in the country entry-level segment.

The Redmi A3 features a MediaTek chipset, a large battery with USB Type-C charging, a smooth display, and what Xiaomi calls the "Premium Halo Design". Now, let's take an in-depth look at the Redmi A3.

Redmi A3 Price, Sale, Colors in India

The Redmi A3 price in India is set at Rs 7,299 for the base 3GB/64GB model. Moreover, the handset will also be offered in 4GB/128GB and 6GB/128GB configurations that will set you back Rs 8,299 and Rs 9,299, respectively.

The Redmi A3 is offered in Olive Green, Midnight Black, and Lake Blue color options. Additionally, the Olive Green option features a leather texture finish as opposed to glass on the other two variants. The Redmi A3 will go on sale in India from February 23 via Flipkart, mi.com, and Xiaomi partner retail stores.

Redmi A3 Specifications

The Redmi A3 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G36 SoC paired with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage. Moreover, the Redmi A3 also has a dedicated microSD card slot to support up to 1TB of storage expansion. The handset packs a 5,000 mAh battery with a 10W USB Type-C adapter bundled in the box.

The Redmi A3 also sports a 6.71-inch HD+ (1650 x 720 pixels) LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. The screen is also protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and has a waterdrop style notch. On the back, the Redmi A3 features an 8 MP rear camera with a secondary AI lens and LED Flash.

Up front, Redmi's budget smartphone opts for a 5 MP selfie camera. Xiaomi also claims the phone runs Android 14 out of the box, although it could be the Go Edition of the operating system. For security, the Redmi A3 opts for a side-mounted fingerprint reader. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, 4G, Dual SIM, and more.
