Redmi A7 Pro 5G Launched In India: 120Hz Display, HyperOS 3.0, 6300mAh Battery

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi A7 Pro 5G in India, marking the first “Pro” model in the company’s A-series lineup. The phone is positioned as an everyday device, focusing on battery life, display size, and a more streamlined software experience.

Sales for the device will begin on April 15 across Amazon India, Mi.com, and retail stores.

Large Display With A Focus On Usability

The Redmi A7 Pro 5G features a 6.9-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also supports up to 800 nits of peak brightness, which should help with outdoor visibility.

Xiaomi has added Wet Touch 2.0 support, which allows the screen to respond even when fingers are slightly wet or oily. There’s also TÜV Rheinland eye-comfort certification and DC dimming aimed at reducing strain during longer usage sessions.

Battery Life Takes Priority

Battery is clearly one of the key highlights here. The phone packs a 6300mAh battery, which is designed to handle extended use without frequent charging.

It supports 15W charging with an in-box charger, along with 7.5W wired reverse charging. The company also notes that the battery is built to retain performance over long charge cycles.

Performance And Software

The Redmi A7 Pro 5G runs on an octa-core 5G processor, paired with support for up to 8GB of virtual RAM expansion. The focus here seems to be on keeping day-to-day usage smooth.

On the software side, the device introduces Xiaomi HyperOS 3.0 to the A-series. Features include Google Gemini integration, Circle to Search, and Xiaomi Interconnectivity for working across devices.

Camera And Everyday Features

For cameras, the phone includes a 32MP AI dual rear setup and an 8MP front camera. Features like HDR, AI Sky, and Document Mode are included for everyday photography and scanning tasks.

The phone also comes with a slim 8.15mm design, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, dual speakers with a 200% volume boost, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It carries an IP52 rating and supports expandable storage up to 2TB via microSD card.
