Redmi K30 Could Sport 120Hz Display, 60MP Camera, And Side-Mounted Fingerprint Scanner
Redmi K30 is making cameos at several leaks, revealing more possible specifications. Previously, we only knew that the device could be an affordable 5G smartphone featuring dual selfie cameras and would either use a MediaTek chipset or Qualcomm 7250 SoC. Now, a fresh report has confirmed that the handset will sport a 120Hz display, 60MP primary camera, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
As per a report, the latest MIUI 11 version disclosed the two devices with codenames as "phoenix" and "picasso". Since we have no idea about "picasso", we could expect the "phoenix" to be the Redmi K30 smartphone featuring a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 60MP Sony IMX686 image sensor, and a 120Hz display. The device is expected to launch next month, across the globe. Moreover, we are likely to see the differences between the Chinese and International/Indian models.
Furthermore, the smartphone is rumored to ship with an Adreno 618 GPU, 6GB RAM, and 64GB ROM options. Connectivity options on board include Wi-Fi 802.11, Mobile Hotspot, Bluetooth, GPS with A-GPS, Glonass, USB Type-C, and more. It is rumored to carry a 4,500 mAh battery along with the fast charging support.
In the K-series from Xiaomi, we have seen the Redmi K20 Pro that arrived with a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It is powered by the Snapdragon 855 SoC, coupled with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB in-built storage. It has a 48MP, 13MP, and an 8MP lens at the rear, while at the front it uses a single 20MP lens. The smartphone ships with Android 9 Pie and packs a 4,000 mAh battery.
It comes in Carbon Black, Flame Red, Glacier Blue, and Pearl White colors in the Indian market priced at Rs. 25,999 for 6GB RAM and 64GB ROM base variant. While the top-variant of 8GB RAM and 256GB ROM is available from 30,999.
