Xiaomi recently held an event in India, launching Redmi 12, an affordable 5G Android smartphone. The brand has scheduled a special "Redmi" event today, August 3, 2023, where it should launch the eagerly-awaited Redmi K60 Ultra.
The Xiaomi Redmi event will also welcome MediaTek and Pixelworks. Hence, it is clear that the Redmi K60 Ultra will be powered by a flagship-grade MediaTek Dimensity chipset. Let's look at all the available details such as specifications, features, launch, and availability of the Redmi K60 Ultra.

Redmi K60 Ultra Special Features From Pixelworks And MediaTek Collaboration
The presence of Pixelworks and MediaTek confirms Xiaomi has partnered with the two companies. While MediaTek makes SoC (System on a Chip), which powers smartphones, Pixelworks provides video and pixel processing semiconductors and software. The company is also involved in digital displays, projection devices, and digital signage.
Some reports have claimed the Redmi K60 Ultra has a special display chip, aimed to improve display performance and efficiency, without compromising quality. It is possible that the Xiaomi Redmi K60 Ultra will boast features such as frame rate interpolation, MEMC, DC-Dimming, HDR support, and color-related features.

The Redmi K60 Ultra, which could be a rebranded premium Xiaomi smartphone, recently surfaced on Geekbench. The listing indirectly confirmed the Redmi smartphone is packing MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC and 16GB RAM.
The "Plus" variant of the Dimensity 9200 has the prime or performance Cortex-X3 core running at 3.35GHz. Three A715 performance cores have been clocked at 3.0GHz and the four A510 efficiency cores have been clocked at 2.0GHz. In comparison, the non-Plus variant has Cortex-X3 at 3.05 GHz, A715 at 3.0 GHz, and A510 at 1.8GHz.
Redmi K60 Ultra 5G Leaked Specifications, Features
Xiaomi has managed to keep the specifications and hardware details of the Redmi K60 Ultra secret. Hence, most of the details have been obtained from rumors, and a few leaks.
The K60 Ultra is rumored to feature a 6.73-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh. The screen is rumored to have a 1440 x 3200 pixels resolution and feature an under-display fingerprint scanner.
Xiaomi is expected to pack a 5,000mAh or 5,500mAh battery inside the Redmi K60 Ultra. The Redmi smartphone was recently certified for 120W wired fast charging.
Incidentally, the motherboard of the Redmi K60 Ultra is codenamed "corot", the Geekbench listing revealed. The upcoming Xiaomi 13T Pro too has the same motherboard. Hence, Xiaomi may sell the same device under different names in different regions.
