Redmi K70 Series Launching Later Today: How to Watch? What to Expect?
Xiaomi's Redmi brand is preparing to release its much-anticipated next-generation flagship smartphones, collectively known as the Redmi K70 series. The official launch event will take place in China today, November 29th, with a press conference scheduled for 4:30 PM IST. The event will be live-streamed on Weibo and other Chinese video streaming platforms.
The Redmi K70 series launch is expected to introduce not only smartphones but also an array of ecosystem products, including the Redmi Book 14/16 2024, Redmi Watch 4, and Redmi Buds 5 Pro.

Redmi K70 Series Design
The Redmi K70 series boasts a completely revamped design, featuring a flat frame body. Notably, the phones will house the largest camera module ever seen on a Redmi smartphone. While the Pro model sports a metal frame, the materials for the frames of the other two handsets remain undisclosed.
On the right edge, users will find the volume rocker and power key, with an IR blaster on the top side and a USB Type-C port along with a speaker grille on the bottom.
Redmi K70 Series Specifications
While information on the Redmi K70 and Redmi K70 Pro remains limited, details about the Redmi K70e are more comprehensive. This variant features a 6.67-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2712 x 1220 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the device is a MediaTek Dimensity 8300-Ultra chip coupled with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The software front is covered by HyperOS based on Android 14.
Camera enthusiasts will appreciate the Redmi K70e's 16MP selfie camera and a triple camera system on the rear, including a 64MP OmniVision OV64B primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide unit, and a 2MP macro snapper. A robust 5,500mAh battery with 90W charging support ensures lasting performance.
In contrast, the Redmi K70 and Redmi K70 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsets, respectively. Running on Android 14-based HyperOS, both models are expected to feature a 50MP OmniVision OV50E primary sensor and an 8MP ultrawide unit.
The pro version distinguishes itself with a 50MP OmniVision OV50D 2x telephoto shooter. Additionally, the duo supports impressive 120W wired charging, with the vanilla model housing a 5,000mAh battery and the pro variant boasting a slightly larger 5,120mAh battery.
Redmi K70 Series Expected Price
Anticipated to be competitively priced, the Redmi K70 series is expected to fall in line with or slightly exceed the pricing of its predecessor, the Redmi K60 series. For reference, the Redmi K60e, K60, and K60 Pro started at ¥2,199, ¥2,499, and ¥3,299, respectively, at launch.
