Redmi K80 Pro Performance and Price Range Teased by Company Exec: Surpasses 3 Million Points on AnTuTu

The Xiaomi Redmi K80 series is expected to make its debut in China in the coming weeks, towards the end of November. To recall, last year's Redmi K70 series arrived in China during the start of December.

The line-up is expected to feature the Redmi K80 and Redmi K80 Pro. While no official release date has been provided, Redmi's General Manager, Wang Teng, revealed some key details about the upcoming K80 Pro.

Redmi K80 Pro AnTuTu Score

During the Wang Teng's livestream on Douyin (China's TikTok), the Redmi K80 Pro was seen achieving an overall AnTuTu score of over 3 million points. Moreover, the K80 Pro managed this feat with a peak recorded temperature of just 49°C.

The Redmi K80 Pro managed an overall AnTuTu score of 3,016,450 points, while the two other phones placed next to it scored 2,832,981 and 2,738,065 points. While the name of the other two phones were not disclosed, they appeared to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip or at the very least, the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC.

Redmi K80 Pro vs OnePlus 13: Price to Performance

Last month, the OnePlus 13 emerged as the best-performing smartphone on AnTuTu, with an overall score of 2,926,644 points. Apart from being able to match or exceed the OnePlus 13 in terms of performance, Wang Teng also hinted that the Redmi K80 Pro will be cheaper than the OnePlus 13.

To recall, the OnePlus 13 price in China starts from CNY 4,499 (roughly Rs 53,100). We believe that the Redmi K80 Pro price in China could start from anywhere between CNY 3,499 (roughly Rs 41,300) to CNY 3,699 (roughly Rs 43,650) for the base model. It will likely be around the same price as the recently released Realme GT 7 Pro.

Redmi K80 Series: What to Expect?

While the Xiaomi Redmi K80 Pro opts for the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, the vanilla Redmi K80 is expected to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The Redmi K80 series will run Android 15-based HyperOS 2 with several gaming enhancements. The Redmi K80 series is also expected to feature a 50MP triple-camera setup. The Redmi K80 Pro is expected to sport a 2K 120Hz micro-curved OLED display.

On the other hand, the Redmi K80 could sport a flat 1.5K 120Hz OLED display. Both phones will leverage silicone carbon technology to receive big battery upgrades. The Redmi K80 Pro is expected to support 120W wired and 50W wireless fast charging, while vanilla K80 will be downgraded to 90W wired and 30W wireless charging support. Both phones will feature an IP68 rating for resistance to dust and water.
