Redmi K90 Max Launched with MediaTek Dimensity 9500 SoC, Bose-tuned Speaker, Built-in Cooling Fan
Xiaomi has introduced the Redmi K90 Max as a performance-driven smartphone built for gamers and power users. Featuring flagship-grade hardware, an advanced active cooling system, and a high-refresh AMOLED display, the device focuses on sustained performance. With a large battery and premium durability ratings, it aims to deliver a balanced mix of power, efficiency, and everyday usability.
The Redmi K90 Max is Xiaomi’s latest performance-focused smartphone, aimed at gamers and power users. It combines high-end hardware, active cooling, and a large battery while maintaining a relatively slim design. The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, paired with an AI D2 discrete gaming GPU, up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, and up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage, targeting sustained performance and stable gameplay.

A standout feature is its built-in cooling fan—an uncommon addition in smartphones. Measuring 18.1mm, it uses a sealed air duct and vortex airflow design for improved efficiency. Xiaomi claims airflow of 0.42 CFM, up to 1.3x higher than rivals, with 78.6% utilisation. The system can reduce temperatures by up to 10°C within 100 seconds under high-load conditions. The fan offers three modes, with a maximum noise level of 32dB.
The phone features a 6.83-inch 1.5K (2772 x 1280 pixels) 12-bit AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate and 3500Hz touch sampling rate. It supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision, DC Dimming, and peaks at 3500 nits brightness. Xiaomi HyperOS 3 runs the software experience. The rear setup includes a 50MP main camera (Light Fusion 800 sensor, OIS, EIS) and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. The front houses a 20MP camera. Video recording goes up to 8K on the rear and 1080p on the front.
The Redmi K90 Max uses an aluminium alloy frame with an internal structure supporting the cooling system. It comes in Space Silver, Shadow Black, and Sky Blue. The device carries IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, including protection against high-pressure water. It also features a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and infrared sensor.
Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and USB Type-C. It supports multiple navigation systems including GPS, NavIC, Beidou, and Galileo. The device packs an 8550mAh battery with 100W fast charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging. Audio is handled by dual 1115X speakers with Hi-Res audio support.
