Redmi K90, Redmi K90 Pro Max Launching at 04:30 PM IST Today: How to Watch the Livestream? What to Expect

The Redmi K90 and Redmi K90 Pro Max are set to launch in China today, October 23. Xiaomi has been teasing features of these smartphones ahead of their debut. The two phones could make their global debut as the Poco F8 (Redmi K90) and Poco F8 Ultra (Redmi K90 Pro Max).

The launch event for the Redmi K90 series is scheduled for 07:00 pm local time in China, which corresponds to 04:30 pm IST. Xiaomi will also introduce the Redmi Watch 6 during this event. Enthusiasts can catch the live stream on the dedicated microsite or Redmi's Weibo account.

Redmi K90 and Redmi K90 Pro Max: Expected Pricing

The pricing for the Redmi K90 remains undisclosed. However, its predecessor starts at CNY 2,499 (around Rs. 29,000) for the 12GB + 256GB model, with the top-end variant priced at CNY 3,599 (approximately Rs. 42,000). Xiaomi President Lu Weibing hinted that the Redmi K90 Pro Max might dominate the segment below CNY 4,000 (about Rs. 49,000).

Redmi K90 Pro Max Specifications

The Redmi K90 Pro Max is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. To maintain optimal performance, Xiaomi has integrated its largest vapor chamber cooling system into the device. This works alongside an "AI independent display chip" D2 to enhance user experience. The smartphone sports a large 6.9-inch LTPO OLED display with full RGB sub-pixel arrangement and DC dimming at all brightness levels.

For photography enthusiasts, it will include a main camera with a 1/1.31-inch sensor, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a periscope telephoto lens offering up to 10x "lossless" zoom with optical image stabilisation.

The Redmi K90 Pro Max will introduce a new audio experience with its 2.1 stereo system featuring two super-linear speakers and an independent woofer tuned by Bose. This model will house a robust battery of 7,560mAh capacity supporting various charging options including wired charging at 100W, wireless charging at 50W, and reverse wired charging at 22.5W.

Redmi K90 Specifications

The Redmi K90 features a design similar to the Pro Max, with a rectangular rear camera module housing three sensors, an LED flash, and "Sound by Bose" branding. It offers a flat 6.59-inch display with slim bezels, Super Pixel technology, and a centered hole-punch camera. The device comes in white, purple, and light blue.

Notable upgrades include a refined cold-sculpted design and stereo speakers tuned by Bose. The K90 introduces a 2.5x "Golden Telephoto" lens for improved portraits and is powered by a 7,100mAh battery (rated 6,960mAh) with 100W fast charging, ensuring long-lasting and efficient performance.
