Redmi K90 Ultra Confirmed for June 30 Launch With Active Cooling Fan and Snapdragon 8 Elite
Redmi has locked in June 30 as the launch date for the K90 Ultra in China, and the phone is shaping up to be one of the more serious gaming-focused flagships in the 3,000 Yuan segment, roughly around $440.

What's Already Been Confirmed
The K90 Ultra runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which is already doing the heavy lifting on most Android flagships this year. What makes the K90 Ultra a little different is the built-in active cooling fan, visible through the wide air outlet sitting just below the rear camera module. This isn't a clip-on cooler or an accessory, it's baked directly into the phone's architecture.
Redmi says the independent cooling system is designed to run without affecting battery capacity or the phone's durability credentials. The company has also backed up the cooling claims with a specific performance target: the phone can sustain peak frame rates for up to 60 minutes in a graphically intensive 3D game at the highest visual settings, without any thermal throttling kicking in. For anyone who's watched a phone turn into a hand warmer mid-game, that's a fairly meaningful promise.
Design
Redmi has already shown off the phone in a Space Silver colourway, and the design carries over the same horizontal camera layout seen on the K90 Max. The dual-camera arrangement sits inside a large rear module, with the air outlet integrated just below it. It's clearly built to look the part for the segment it's targeting.
Battery and Charging
Nothing has been officially confirmed on the battery front yet, but reports suggest the K90 Ultra could pack a cell exceeding 8,500mAh alongside 100W wired fast charging. If accurate, that would be a significant number even by gaming phone standards, where large batteries are already the norm.
Redmi is expected to fill in the remaining spec details in the days before the June 30 launch.
