No Big Upgrade? Redmi Note 15 Pro+ Could Launch With Same Processor as 14 Pro+, Leak Claims
Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 15 series is expected to make its debut in China later this month, with a global launch to follow. But if the latest leak is accurate, the top-end Redmi Note 15 Pro+ may not get the performance bump many were hoping for.

Tipster PaperKing13, citing details from Mi Code, claims the device will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 (SM7635) — the same processor used in last year’s Redmi Note 14 Pro+. That would mean no generational CPU upgrade, even as rivals like Vivo’s V60 move up to newer silicon such as the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4.
Other Models May See Different Chipsets
The leak doesn’t reveal much about the rest of the lineup, but it does hint at some chipset variety. The standard Redmi Note 15 5G is expected to stick with a Qualcomm processor, while the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G could use a MediaTek Dimensity chip.
Beyond those, Xiaomi is reportedly working on 4G versions of the Note 15 and Note 15 Pro. Details about their hardware remain under wraps, and no chipset confirmations have surfaced for those models yet.
What’s Still Unknown
Outside of the chipset leak, we don’t yet know specifics about the Note 15 Pro+’s display, camera setup, or battery. These details are likely to emerge closer to launch, especially since the series is expected to be unveiled within weeks.
For now, the biggest takeaway is that Xiaomi appears to be taking a conservative approach with its top-tier mid-range phone this year — keeping the same core performance but potentially making changes elsewhere.
