Redmi Note 15 SE 5G Launch Date in India Set for April 2: Design Teased
Xiaomi is adding another variant to its Redmi Note 15 lineup in India, but this one seems to be more about appearance than anything else.

The company has confirmed that the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G will launch on April 2. A Flipkart microsite is already live, giving an early look at the phone’s design and confirming its availability through the platform.
Redmi Note 15 SE 5G Design
From the teaser, the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G shows up in a red finish paired with a gold-toned frame. It’s a noticeable shift from the regular colours currently available, and it looks like Xiaomi is trying to position this as a more distinct option within the same lineup.
There’s also a centered Redmi logo on the back, which slightly changes the visual balance compared to the standard model.
Based on what’s been shown so far, this version appears to be closely related to a special edition that was earlier released in China, suggesting this could be more of a reworked design than a new device.
Redmi Note 15 SE 5G Specs
Apart from the new colour, the rest of the phone looks unchanged. The squircle-shaped camera module is still there, housing two cameras along with an LED flash, and it seems to blend into the frame’s colour.
Xiaomi hasn’t shared full specifications for this variant yet, but it’s expected to carry over the same hardware as the regular Redmi Note 15 5G.
That includes a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,200 nits peak brightness, along with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset. The existing model also offers 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage.
On the camera side, the setup includes a 108MP main sensor and an 8MP ultrawide, backed by a 5,520mAh battery.
Stay Tuned for More
The standard Redmi Note 15 5G launched in India earlier this year, starting at ₹22,999. The SE version is expected to sit alongside it rather than replace it.
More details, including pricing and exact configurations, should be clearer at launch.
