Xiaomi has officially unveiled a new version of the Redmi Note 15 in India. The Redmi Note 15 SE 5G has officially been unveiled in India as the fourth smartphone in the series and follows the debut of the Redmi Note 15 5G, Note 15 Pro 5G, and Note 15 Pro+ 5G.

The Redmi Note 15 5G Special Edition stands out with a crimson reserve finish that uses a leather-style texture. The red rear panel is framed by a gold-toned mid-frame for contrast. Frosted White offers a subtle marble-like appearance, while Carbon Black keeps a more classic look. The camera module remains centred at the top, with a squircle shape and colour-matched decorative trim.

Redmi Note 15 SE 5G Price in India

The Redmi Note 15 SE 5G price in India starts at Rs 19,999 for the base 6GB/128GB model. Moreover, the handset also comes in 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB configurations that cost Rs 21,999 and Rs 23,999, respectively.

The Note 15 SE 5G comes in Carbon Black, Crimson Reserve (Red), and Frosted White shades. Xiaomi is offering a bank discount of Rs 2,000 on the Redmi Note 15 SE for select card users. The Redmi Note 15 SE will go on sale in India starting April 7 via Flipkart and Xiaomi's online store.

Redmi Note 15 SE 5G Specifications

The Redmi Note 15 5G Special Edition is powered by a 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, featuring four Cortex-A78 cores at 2.4GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores at 1.8GHz, paired with an Adreno 710 GPU for solid gaming and multimedia performance. It offers up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage, expandable up to 1TB via microSD, with a hybrid dual SIM slot. The device runs Android 15 with Xiaomi HyperOS 2.

It packs a 5800mAh silicon-carbon battery with 45W fast charging via USB Type-C, while maintaining a slim 7.35mm profile. The phone features a 6.77-inch FHD+ AMOLED display (2392×1080) with a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling, peak brightness of 3200 nits, 3840Hz PWM dimming, and 12-bit colour support for an enhanced viewing experience.

The camera housing follows the standard model's layout but adds matching red and gold detailing, plus individual lens rings. Xiaomi replaces the earlier 108MP main sensor from the REDMI 15 with a 50MP rear camera. The 8MP ultra-wide camera from that phone is dropped in favour of a 2MP depth sensor, aimed at better portrait separation.

Redmi Note 15 SE 5G Connectivity and Build

Connectivity on the Redmi Note 15 5G Special Edition includes 5G support for n1, n3, n5, n8, n28, n40 and n78 bands. It offers Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 on 2.4GHz and 5GHz, Bluetooth 5.1 and USB Type-C. Location options include GPS: L1, GLONASS: G1, BDS: B1I + B1C and Galileo: E1, covering multiple satellite systems.

The Redmi Note 15 5G Special Edition carries IP65 and IP66 ratings for dust and splash resistance. Xiaomi lists MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability as well. The Carbon Black version measures 164×75.42×7.35mm and weighs 178g, while Frosted White has a 7.4mm thickness at the same weight. Crimson Reserve measures 7.82mm thick and weighs 182g.
