Redmi Note 17 Storage Options and Colours for India Tipped Ahead of Launch in China
The Redmi Note 17 series goes official in China tomorrow, July 14, at 4:30 pm IST. Two phones are coming, the standard Note 17 and the Note 17 Pro, and ahead of the launch, a fairly detailed set of specifications has leaked for both. There's also some early information about what the India variant might look like.

What's Coming to India
Tipster Abhishek Yadav on X says the India variant of the Redmi Note 17 will start with a 6GB/128GB option and come in at least Blue and Dark Night colourways. He flagged that more variants could surface closer to launch. Xiaomi hasn't said anything official about an India date yet.
The Standard Note 17
The base model is tipped to be a fairly large phone. A 7-inch Full HD+ Samsung E4 Pro display with up to 1,800 nits of brightness is said to be on board, powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chip. The battery is reportedly 8,000mAh with 45W fast charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging. Camera-wise, there's a 50MP primary sensor on the back, an optical fingerprint scanner, and an IP65 rating.
The Note 17 Pro Steps It Up
The Pro goes bigger on almost everything. The display shrinks slightly to 6.83 inches but bumps up to 1.5K resolution with 3,500 nits peak brightness and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on top, with a claimed 3m marble drop resistance. The chipset steps up to a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, and the battery jumps to 9,000mAh with 67W fast charging. Durability is more comprehensive too, with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, plus a TÜV SÜD two-metre, 72-hour waterproof certification.
The camera setup on the Pro mirrors the standard model with a 50MP primary sensor and optical fingerprint scanner.
Everything here is based on leaks and tipster reports. The official specs will be out when the phones launch in China tomorrow.
