Redmi Turbo 4 Launched as MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra Smartphone: Will Debut Globally as Poco X7 Pro

Xiaomi has officially announced the first smartphone with the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 chipset, the first mobile SoC with all big cores. The Redmi Turbo 4 brings considerable updates over its predecessor.

To recall, the Redmi Turbo 3 made its global debut as the Poco F6 5G. However, this year, the Redmi Turbo 4 will make its debut in India and global markets as the Poco X7 Pro next week.

Redmi Turbo 4 Pricing

The Redmi Turbo 4 price in China starts from CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs 23,500) for the base 12GB/256GB model. The Redmi Turbo 4 is offered in Cloud White, Light Sea Blue, and Shadow Black shades.

Moreover, the phone also comes in 16GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, and 16GB/512GB configurations that will set you back CNY 2,199 (roughly Rs 25,850), CNY 2,299 (roughly Rs 27,000), and CNY 2,499 (roughly Rs 29,400), respectively.

Redmi Turbo 4 Specifications

The Redmi Turbo 4 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra SoC paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. Moreover, the phone also has a 5000mm² stainless steel VC cooling system. The phone also packs a massive 6550 mAh carbon-silicon battery and 90W wired fast charging support.

The Redmi Turbo 4 sports a 6.67-inch 1.5K OLED display with a peak brightness of 3,200 nits. The screen features a 120Hz refresh rate and a 480Hz touch sampling rate. The display also supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i. The phone also boasts an in-display fingerprint reader and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.

For optics, the Redmi Turbo 4 features a dual-camera setup with a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary sensor with OIS and an f/1.5 aperture. The main camera is paired with an 8MP ultrawide lens with an f/2.2 aperture. Up front, the Redmi Turbo 4 opts for a 20MP OV20B selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture.

The device features a sleek 2.5D micro-arc frame for enhanced comfort and a refined texture. It combines a glass back with a plastic frame and showcases an all-metal camera decoration. Crafted with piano paint techniques, it includes a whirlwind double-ring light strip for added elegance. With an impressively slim profile of just 8.06mm, it also boasts robust durability, offering IP66, IP68, and IP69 dust and water resistance.
