Redmi Turbo 5 Launched in India With Dimensity 8500 Ultra: Check Price, Specs, Features
Redmi has officially launched the Turbo 5 in India today, June 16, and it's a bigger deal than just another mid-range phone. This is the first time Redmi is bringing its Turbo series to India directly under the Redmi brand, rather than renaming it under POCO as it has done in the past.
The phone is available via Amazon India. Redmi has been billing it as the fastest Redmi phone ever, and the specs back that claim up fairly well.

Display and Design
The Turbo 5 gets a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,500 nits peak brightness. It's a flat panel with a punch-hole cutout, which keeps things clean and practical.
On the back, there are two separate circular camera rings with integrated LED lighting that can display charging status, notifications, and gaming or music states. It's a distinctive design touch that sets it apart from the usual slab look. The phone comes in White, Green, and Black.
Performance
Under the hood, the Turbo 5 runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra, a 4nm chip that Redmi is positioning as a step up from the standard Dimensity 8500. It's paired with up to 12GB RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The phone runs Android 16 out of the box.
The display also supports a 480Hz touch sampling rate, which should make it a decent pick for gaming.

The Battery Is the Headline
The biggest talking point here is the 7,560mAh battery, the largest Redmi has ever put in a phone. It supports 100W HyperCharge wired fast charging, and the charger comes in the box. There's also 27W reverse wired charging support.
The Indian variant actually gets a slightly larger battery than the Chinese model, which is a rare and welcome change.
Camera
The camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor with OIS and EIS, and a 20MP front camera with autofocus.
Durability
The Turbo 5 carries IP68 and IP69K ratings, so it can handle dust, water submersion, and even high-pressure water jets. For a phone in this segment, that's solid protection.
Price and Availability
The Redmi Turbo 5 comes in two variants. The 8GB/256GB model is priced at Rs 37,999, while the 12GB/256GB variant costs Rs 40,999. With an introductory bank discount of Rs 2,000, the effective prices come down to Rs 35,999 and Rs 38,999 respectively.
It's worth noting that LPDDR5X Ultra RAM is exclusive to the 12GB variant.
Sales go live on June 19, 2026 at 12:00 PM across Mi.com, Amazon.in, and Xiaomi retail stores across India.
