Redmi Turbo 5 Max Debuts With MediaTek Dimensity 9500s, 9000mAh Battery and 100W Charging
Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi Turbo 5 Max in China, positioning it as the most advanced model in the Turbo lineup so far.

The phone leans heavily into performance and battery life, while also bringing display upgrades, new design elements, and a flagship-grade chipset. It’s already on sale in China, with multiple RAM and storage options available.
Display and design get a noticeable upgrade
The Redmi Turbo 5 Max features a 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and high-frequency PWM dimming combined with DC dimming. Xiaomi says the panel can reach up to 3500 nits peak brightness and uses new M10 material for improved luminous efficiency.
From a design perspective, the phone comes with a CNC metal frame, a fiberglass back panel, and a racetrack-shaped camera deco with a double-ring turbine light strip. It’s available in four colors: Shadow Black, Ocean Blue, Auspicious Cloud White, and Sunshine Orange.
Xiaomi has also added features like an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, waterproofing, and upgraded antennas and positioning systems
A new Dimensity chip leads the performance push
At the center of the Redmi Turbo 5 Max is the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s processor. Xiaomi says it’s the world’s first phone to use this chip, built on a 3nm process with an all-large core architecture and large cache.
The company highlights its gaming capabilities, including support for high frame rates in demanding 3D games, along with a flagship-level 3D ice-cooling pump and a “Rampage Engine” for performance optimization.
Cameras and everyday hardware choices
The camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor with optical and electronic stabilization, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 20MP front camera.
The phone runs Android 16 with Xiaomi HyperOS 3 and comes with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, with configurations ranging from 12GB to 16GB RAM and up to 512GB storage.
Xiaomi also mentions a new “ticket-grabbing mode,” designed to optimize performance for high-frequency app usage scenarios
A 9000mAh battery becomes the headline feature
The battery is one of the most striking parts of the Turbo 5 Max.
The phone packs a 9000mAh battery, which Xiaomi claims can deliver over 11 hours of usage, comparable to some devices with even larger capacities. It supports 100W wired fast charging, the 100W PPS protocol, and 27W wired reverse charging.
