Reliance Jio launches iPhone 8 iPhone 8 plus in India, offers 70% buyback

Reliance Jio today launched the new Apple devices - iPhone 8 and 8 Plus at its headquarters in Navi Mumbai.

Jio said that "This first of its kind association between Jio and Apple will bring together India's best and most advanced 4G network and the latest in smartphones from Apple."

The special association will help users to unleash the true power and features of iPhones which can be enjoyed only on Jio's advanced network in India.

Jio also announced that Reliance Digital will offer a special 70 percent buyback on the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. This offer ensures that a customer, who opts for the Rs 799 or higher Jio tariff plan would be eligible for 70 percent of the MRP as buyback amount on a return of the device after a year.

"We promise a 70 percent buyback for iPhone 8, 8+ and 10, after one year," Jio's director, and Ambani's son, Akash Ambani, said at the launch.

He said that "For the first time ever in India, iPhone will have a 100 percent True-4G network in India that unleashes the true power of this device. Adding that with this they will also have new features like access to 400 channels right on their iPhone....through the Jio TV app... Anywhere on the go.

In a video message, Mukesh Ambani said Jio's partnership with Apple will deliver "best value" and a better customer experience.

The partnership with Jio also creates an unprecedented distribution platform for iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus in India. For the first time, the latest iPhones will be available across 900 cities in India from more than 2000 Reliance Digital outlets.
