Renders of the Motorola Edge 40 Pro Leak Online; Reveal Design

With its purported launch not too far away, press renders of the upcoming Motorola Edge 40 Pro leaked online today. The Edge 40 Pro is a successor to the Edge 30 Pro, launched globally in February last year.

Reputed tipster Evan Blass leaked the renders online through Twitter. Like previous reports, these renders also suggest that the smartphone will be a rebranded version of the Moto X40 launched in China last December.

The renders show the front and back panels of the Motorola Edge 40 Pro. The device appears to have thin bezels and a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. The renders also suggest that the phone will be waterproof, and therefore will have an IP68 rating.

The renders also suggest that the smartphone will feature a triple camera setup with a flash at the back. Since the Moto X40 features a 50MP primary camera, we can expect the Motorola Edge 40 Pro to come with a similar one too.

Motorola Edge 40 Pro Specifications, Features

Like the Moto X40, the Moto Edge 40 Pro is expected to sport a 6.67-inch FHD+ 10-bit OLED display with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 165Hz. The display is likely to be protected by Corning's Gorilla Glass Victus.

An Octa Core Snapdragon 8 Gen with Adreno next-gen GPU and 12GB LPDDR5X RAM with 256GB UFS 4.0 storage will likely power the Moto Edge 40 Pro. Like most recent devices, the Edge 40 Pro will also boot Android 13.

In terms of camera specifications, the Moto Edge 40 Pro might come with a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide autofocus camera, and 12MP 2X portrait telephoto camera. The Moto X40 has a whopping 60MP front camera for selfies, which can also be expected on the Moto Edge 40 Pro.

Connectivity options will likely include 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ax (2.4GHz/5GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, USB Type-C, and NFC. It will likely be powered by a 4,600mAh battery.
