Samsung Brings AirDrop Support to Quick Share: Eligible Devices, Rollout Timeline
Samsung has announced that it will now support AirDrop file transfer on the Galaxy S26 series via Quick Share, making it easier for users to share photos, videos, and documents between Android and iPhone. The move aims to simplify cross-device file transfers and improve compatibility when sharing content with nearby devices.
The feature is rolling out starting today (March 23) in South Korea. Samsung plans to gradually expand the rollout to additional regions, including Europe, Hong Kong, Japan, Latin America, North America, Southeast Asia, and Taiwan in the coming weeks. With this update, Galaxy S26 users will be able to use Quick Share for faster and more seamless content sharing.

Eligible Devices
The AirDrop support in Quick Share will be available on the Galaxy S26 series devices:
Galaxy S26
Galaxy S26+
Galaxy S26 Ultra
Samsung has confirmed that support will expand to additional Galaxy devices in the future, although the company has not yet revealed the full list of compatible models or the rollout timeline. Once it is revealed, we will update our story.
The new feature is expected to improve the file-sharing experience for Galaxy users, especially when transferring large files such as videos or photo albums. It is designed to make transferring files between supported devices quicker without requiring cables or third-party apps.
