Samsung Display showcases new tech: ‘All Around Full Screen’ with no Bezels
Samsung Display is all set to make the zero-bezel display tech a reality. According to a leaked marketing slide shared by the Twitter tipster Revengus or Tech Reve, Samsung has recently showcased the new display tech at an event.
The slide reveals the name of the new display tech "All Around Full Screen". Twitter user Revengus has shared a picture from a Samsung event showcasing display tech.

Ahead of its Time
As per the slide, Samsung was displaying the evolution of display tech from notch to punch hole to what it's calling 'All Around Full Screen' display. Notably, The Elec reported last month that Apple had asked its display suppliers, Samsung Display and LG Display, to develop zero bezel OLED panels.
It was speculated that it would take years for either of these companies to come out with a zero-bezel screen as it involves bending circuits under the bezel area and securing enough space for the antenna to function without interruption.
However, it now seems that Samsung has already started developing the display ahead of its competitor LG Display.
First Smartphone to incorporate the Tech
Samsung has also mentioned high transmittance and optimized pixel structure for under panel cameras (UPC). We can expect the 'All Around Full Screen' display to feature an under-display camera.
Notably, the iPhone 16 Pro series is rumoured to come with a UPC. If the rumours are true, we can see an all-around full screen display on next year's iPhone.
Challenges and Expectations
The biggest issue with under display cameras is finding the balance between screen PPI and light transmittance. With its new display tech, Samsung claims to have achieved 50% higher transmittance and optimized pixel structure for excellent output.
It remains to be seen how good the new display tech from Samsung is. Currently, the brand has only announced display details without an actual prototype.
With the existing 3D lamination tech and resources at its disposal, we can safely assume that Samsung Display might achieve the zero-bezel display pipedream before the iPhone 16 launch.
