Samsung Galaxy A01 Clears FCC Hinting Imminent Launch

After witnessing immense success with the Galaxy A and Galaxy M series smartphones, Samsung is now focusing on launching the next-generation models. Already, we have been coming across reports regarding the next-generation Galaxy A smartphones slated to be unveiled in early 2020. Now, details of one of the devices, the Galaxy A01 has surfaced online.

In a recent development, an upcoming smartphone dubbed Samsung Galaxy A01 has cleared the FCC certification. The certification listing comes after the device carrying the model number SM-A015F and SM-A015F/DS was spotted at the Geekbench platform.

Word is that the Galaxy A01 could be a Qualcomm reference phone and could be launched as Galaxy A5. The device is believed to be another original device equipment, which means that it will be made by a different company still carry the Samsung branding.

There are claims that Huaqin Telecom, which makes Huawei devices will make this Samsung phone. Notably, ODM phones will help the company reduce its production costs, thereby selling the devices at a relatively lesser price.

Going by the FCC certification listing, the upcoming Samsung smartphone is believed to be launched with dual cameras at the rear and a 3000mAh battery. As of now, the details regarding the camera sensor are not known.

Furthermore, the Geekbench listing that hit the web recently hints at 2GB RAM and 16GB storage space. There could be other storage variants too. Other specifications that we can expect to see in the Galaxy A01 include a 5.7-inch display and Android 10 topped with One UI.

Going by previous reports, the Samsung Galaxy A01 could be launched in three color variants such as red, black and blue. As it is an entry-level smartphone, we can expect it to miss out on the fingerprint sensor. While an official confirmation regarding the Galaxy A01 is yet to be made, the FCC certification listing hints that its launch could be nearing.
