Samsung Galaxy A16 Announced with Groundbreaking Software Support: Check Price, Specs, India Launch Timeline

Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy A16 5G. While there is no word on the Galaxy A16 5G's launch in India, it should arrive later this month. For now, the Galaxy A16 5G is listed on Samsung's French website.

The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G debuts as an affordable smartphone with a MediaTek chipset, a sizeable battery with fast charging support, a 90Hz AMOLED display, and a triple-camera setup. Additionally, the Galaxy A16 5G also features the best software support in the segment.

Samsung Galaxy A16 5G Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G is powered by the Exynos 1330 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Moreover, storage is expandable up to 1.5 TB a microSD card. It is worth noting that the Galaxy A16 5G could use the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 in India and other markets.

It sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The Galaxy A16 5G opts for a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor, a 2MP macro unit, and a 5MP ultrawide lens. Up front, the phone uses a 13MP selfie camera sensor housed in a waterdrop notch.

However, Samsung promises an impressive six Android OS updates and six years of regular security patches with the Galaxy A16 5G.

Additionally, the Galaxy A16 5G has gotten slimmer than its predecessor at 7.9mm thick, although it does come at the cost of the headphone jack. The phone also features an IP54 rating for protection against dust and splashes of water.

The Samsung Galaxy A16 price in France is set at €249 (roughly Rs 22,950) for the sole 4GB/128GB model. The Galaxy A16 5G is offered in Midnight Blue, Turquoise, and Gray shades.
