Samsung Galaxy A17 5G Full Specifications Revealed Ahead of Launch: Here’s What to Expect
Samsung's Galaxy A17 has been the subject of several leaks recently, with new renders and promotional materials surfacing. The device will feature Samsung Exynos 1330 chipset, contrary to earlier reports suggesting the Exynos 1380. It will be available in both 5G and 4G versions, as confirmed by a European retailer listing.
Specifications and Features
According to a report by Android Headlines, the Galaxy A17 5G will offer storage options of 128GB with RAM choices of 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB. Additionally, there is a variant with 256GB storage paired with 8GB RAM. Users can expand storage using microSD cards up to 2TB. The phone's dimensions are 164.4 x 77.9 x 7.5 mm, and it weighs 192 grams.

The device boasts a large 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080x2340 pixels. It features a waterdrop notch design and supports a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus and offers peak brightness of up to 1,100 nits.
Camera and Battery
On the rear, the Galaxy A17 houses a triple camera setup: a main camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) at 50 MP, an ultrawide lens at 5 MP, and a macro lens at 2 MP. For selfies, there is a front-facing camera with a resolution of 13 MP. Powering the device is a robust 5,000 mAh battery that supports fast charging at up to 25W.
The phone will be available in three colours: blue, black, and gray. It carries an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance and promises six major Android updates along with six years of security patches.
Design Improvements
Compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy A17 is thinner and lighter. Notably, it introduces OIS in its main camera for improved photography. The design has also evolved; the camera island now features an oval shape instead of separate round modules.

The back panel is constructed from glass fiber reinforced polymer, which is touted as more durable than the "Glastic" material used in the previous model.
In-box Accessories
Included in the box are a charger rated at 25W (availability may vary by market), a USB Type-C cable, SIM ejection tool, and Quick Start Guide.
Overall, while not representing a significant overhaul from its predecessor, the Galaxy A17 offers notable enhancements in design and functionality that may appeal to consumers seeking an upgrade within this segment.
