Samsung Galaxy A17 5G Launched Under the Radar with Exynos 1330 SoC, Six Android Updates, 90Hz OLED Display

As of now, there is no word on the availability of the Samsung Galaxy A17 5G outside Europe. However, we expect the Galaxy A17 5G to make its debut in India sometime this month. Moreover, the Galaxy A17 5G price in India is expected to start from under Rs 20,000.

Samsung Galaxy A17 5G Specifications

Samsung's latest affordable 5G smartphone is powered by the Exynos 1330 SoC paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage that can be expanded via a microSD card. Moreover, the handset packs a 5,000 mAh battery with 25W wired fast charging support. In India, the Galaxy A17 5G could come with a charging adapter in the box.

The latest Galaxy A17 5G sports a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The screen will also offer a peak brightness of 1,100 nits. The Galaxy A17 5G features an under-display fingerprint sensor. Up front, Samsung's latest affordable smartphone will use a 13MP selfie camera.

For optics, the Galaxy A17 5G is equipped with a triple-camera setup on the back, which includes a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, OIS, and autofocus, a 5MP ultrawide lens with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP macro unit with an f/2.4 aperture.

The Galaxy A17 5G will run Android 16 with Samsung's One UI 7 skin on top. Samsung also promises six years of Android OS and six years of regular software updates. Additionally, the Galaxy A17 5G's screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus, while an IP54 rating offers secures the phone from dust and light splashes of water.
