Samsung Galaxy A26 5G Now Comes in a Cheaper 6GB Variant: Check Price, Specs, Availability

Samsung’s Galaxy A-series has long catered to people who want the Samsung experience without spending flagship money. Now, the company has added a new option to the mix. The Galaxy A26 5G, originally launched in March with two 8GB RAM configurations, is now available in a 6GB + 128GB variant, priced at ₹23,499.

If you’ve been eyeing this device but didn’t quite need all the RAM—or the price tag that came with it—this could be the model to go for.

Samsung Galaxy A26 5G Now Comes in a Cheaper 6GB Variant

A New Variant, Slightly Easier on the Wallet

At ₹23,499, the new variant undercuts the 8GB + 128GB model by ₹1,500 and the 8GB + 256GB version by ₹4,500. For many buyers, that difference might be enough to tip the scales, especially when the rest of the spec sheet remains unchanged.

The phone is available via Samsung’s official website and at offline retailers, in four color options: Black, White, Mint, and Peach.

Same Design, Same Hardware, Less RAM

While the RAM is slightly scaled down, the rest of the experience stays the same. The Galaxy A26 5G is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1380 chipset, runs on Android 15 with One UI 7, and supports six years of security updates and six major Android upgrades.

Up front, there’s a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, covered with Gorilla Glass Victus+ for added protection. It’s a large display, sure, but the bezels are fairly slim and the punch-hole camera keeps it looking modern.

Cameras That Cover the Basics

The rear camera setup includes a 50MP main camera with OIS, which should deliver decent shots in good lighting and sharper low-light images. There’s also an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro lens—the latter of which is more of a nice-to-have than a must-use feature. On the front, you get a 13MP selfie camera that does its job for video calls and social media.

Battery Life and Build

You’re still getting a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging, enough to last a full day for most people. There’s no charger in the box (because 2025), but if you already have a Type-C charger, you’re good to go.

What stands out here is the IP67 rating, meaning the phone can handle splashes, rain, and even brief dips in water. That’s rare in this segment. Add to that stereo speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and expandable storage via microSD, and the A26 shapes up as a well-rounded package.

Should You Buy the New Variant?

If you’re not a power user juggling a dozen apps at once, 6GB RAM is more than enough for day-to-day tasks, streaming, and casual gaming. And since the processor and software support are the same, you’re not losing out on long-term usability either.
