Samsung Galaxy A27 5G Launched Globally with Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC, 120Hz AMOLED Display, 5000mAh Battery

After several rumours and speculation, Samsung has finally unveiled the Galaxy A27 5G globally. To recall, Samsung Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G made their global debuts earlier this year, with the latest A27 model sitting just under the latter in terms of pricing.

Samsung Galaxy A27 5G Price and Availability

The Samsung Galaxy A27 5G is priced at USD 349.99, roughly Rs. 33,000, or EUR 349, around Rs. 37,400, depending on the market. We expect the Samsung Galaxy A27 5G price in India to start from under Rs 35,000.

It will be available in black, blue, light green and light pink colour options. Samsung says the phone will begin rolling out in select markets from July 3. As of now, the Galaxy A27 5G is yet to be unveiled in India, although Samsung will likely make the announcement in the coming days.

Samsung Galaxy A27 5G Specifications

The biggest visible change is on the front. Samsung has moved to a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Infinity-O Super AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display supports up to 800 nits in high brightness mode and up to 1,400 nits peak brightness. Samsung has also used Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection.

The Galaxy A27 5G runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 5G chipset, built on a 4nm process. The octa-core processor is paired with an Adreno 710 GPU, with Samsung highlighting better graphics performance, faster memory handling and improved power efficiency compared with the previous generation.

The phone comes with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. Storage can be expanded by up to 2TB using a microSD card, though the device uses a hybrid dual-SIM tray. The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support.

Other features include stereo speakers, USB Type-C audio, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, NFC, Bluetooth 5.3, dual-band Wi-Fi and 5G SA/NSA support. The handset also carries an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance. The A27 5G measures 7.8mm in thickness and weighs 200g.

Samsung Galaxy A27 5G Cameras and Software

For photography, the Galaxy A27 5G has a triple rear camera setup. It includes a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilisation, an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front, Samsung has added a 12MP camera that it says is tuned for better dynamic range and colour accuracy.

On software, the Galaxy A27 5G ships with Android 16 and Samsung One UI 8.5. Samsung has promised up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades, along with six years of security updates from launch. Knox Vault is included for hardware-backed protection of sensitive data.

Samsung is bringing its Awesome Intelligence features to the Galaxy A27 5G, including Circle to Search with multi-object recognition and virtual apparel try-on, an improved Object Eraser, and a Voice Recorder that can transcribe and translate audio in 22 languages. The phone also supports Google Gemini, Perplexity, and an upgraded Bixby for natural language-based device controls.
