Samsung is looking to expand its Galaxy A lineup of smartphones with the launch of Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6+. Both the models made a visit to the FCC certification site late last month, suggesting an imminent launch. While no official announcement has been made yet, the Galaxy A6+ has now been spotted on a Polish site, along with some of its key specs.

To start with the design, the press renders on the website shows the Samsung Galaxy A6+ sporting a metal unibody with a full-screen design and minimal bezels. The rear panel of the smartphone resembles that of the Galaxy S9. The camera setup and the placement of the fingerprint scanner are similar. You can also see the U-shaped antenna lines at the top and bottom.

The Galaxy A6+ also features a dedicated dual SIM and microSD slots on the left, loudspeaker grill on the right, and a selfie camera flash. The website listing also reveals the smartphone will come with a 6-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with the aspect ratio of 18:9. Under the hood, it will be powered by an octa-core Samsung Exynos 7870 octa-core processor, coupled with 4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB internal storage space.

On the software front, the Galaxy A6+ will be running Android 8.0 Oreo right out of the box, topped with Experience 9.0 UI. While we don't have camera and battery details yet, the listing reveals the smartphone will be available in color options like Black, Blue and Golden.

The Galaxy A6's specs are also listed on the website, and it will come with a slightly smaller 5.6-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with the aspect ratio of 18:9. The smartphone's other specifications will be the same as its bigger sibling.

Looking at the Geekbench results, the Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6+ will not differ much in terms of performance. The former scored 2605 points on the multi-core test and 723 points on the single core test. Whereas the Galaxy A6+ obtained 739 points in the single-core test and 3469 points in the multi-core test.

Samsung Galaxy A8+ First Impressions

Do note that Samsung had not any Galaxy A6 models previously, so these models will be the first phones in the Galaxy A6 series. There are reports which claim that the Galaxy A6 series will replace the Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 series.
