Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) to get Android Nougat update soon
Android Nougat might be around the corner for Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) smartphones.
Looks like Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) will soon receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update.
Well, we say this because three models of the device running the upgraded version of the operating system have just been certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance. The certified models include the SM-A810S, SM-A810F/DS, and SM-810YS. And since these Samsung devices have appeared on the certification site, it could only mean that the update will be released in the coming weeks.
Further, the certification process also ensures that the required tests have been completed and that there will be no bugs or performance concerns arising from the new software. The three handsets have been certified on August 8th, 2017.
Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) owners can now expect to see Android Nougat in their devices soon. And not only that, the users will be able to experience a host of new features with the new update. Once updated to Android 7.0 Nougat, users will experience features like native support for split-screen multitasking, more customizable quick settings, improved Google keyboard, enhanced notifications and recent applications window, extended battery life, and more.
The South Korean tech giant could also incorporate some additional features of its own into the new software. For example, Samsung-specific software like the Samsung Pass might be optimized after the entire installation process is completed.
As of now, there is no fixed date regarding the roll out but the company should make it official in the coming days.
Talking about the smartphone, Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) comes with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080.
