Samsung Galaxy A8+ receives Rs. 2,000 price cut
Galaxy A8+ is the next one from Samsung to get a price cut.
Samsung Galaxy A8+, which was launched in India in January has received a price cut. The smartphone was launched in the country at a price point of Rs. 32,990. After the price cut of Rs. 2,000, the Galaxy A8+ is available for purchase at Rs. 30,990. It looks like the company has slashed the pricing of the smartphone in order to compete with the other affordable flagship smartphones such as Xiaomi Mi Mix 2, OnePlus 5T and Nokia 8.
What's more interesting is that the Galaxy A8+, which is exclusive to the online retailer Amazon India is available at no cost EMI on using credit cards from major banks. This no cost EMI offer could be a benefit for those who are looking forward to upgrade to this Samsung smartphone without leaving a hole in their pocket. Moreover, Amazon is offering up to Rs. 14,772 discount on exchanging an old phone for the Galaxy A8+.
Talking about the Samsung Galaxy A8+, the smartphone flaunts a similar design as the yesteryear flagship models - the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. We say so as the smartphone boasts the Infinity display panel with 18.5:9 aspect ratio seen on the flagship models last year. The FHD+ panel on the smartphone carries a resolution of 2220 x 1080 pixels and has the Always On feature.
The major highlight of the Galaxy A8+ is the presence of the dual camera setup at the front. The smartphone comes with 16MP and 8MP sensors at the front with an aperture of f/1.9. The selfie camera is said to be capable of clicking portrait shots. Also, the device comes with the Live Focus feature, which will let users click shots with the bokeh effect by editing the already clicked shots. At the rear, the smartphone comes with a 16MP camera sensor with LED flash.
When it comes to the hardware aspects, the Samsung smartphone makes use of an octa-core Exynos 7885 SoC teamed up with Mali-G71 GPU. The device features 6GB RAM and 64GB of default memory capacity, which can be expanded further up to 256GB using a microSD card. The device runs Android 7.0 Nougat and gets the power from a 3500mAh battery, which gives an impressive backup.
