Samsung Galaxy J2 (2017) and J2 Pro receive a price cut in India

Samsung has now slashed the prices of two Galaxy J series smartphones in India. As such, Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro and Galaxy J2 (2017) are now available at Rs. 7,690 and Rs. 6,590 respectively. The smartphones are getting a price cut of Rs, 2,200 and Rs. 800 on their original prices.

Earlier Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro (2016) was priced at Rs. 9,890, whereas the Galaxy J2 (2017) was retailing at 7,390. The new prices will reportedly be applicable from February 21 on both online and offline stores. Mumbai-based mobile retailer, Mahesh Telecom revealed the news via its Twitter handle. Samsung has confirmed the price cut as well.

In any case, Samsung Galaxy J series has been the most popular smartphones in the Indian market. Thus by announcing a price cut, the South Korean giant is making the devices more accessible to the consumers.

Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro

Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro comes with a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) Super AMOLED display. The device is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor which is paired with 2GB of RAM. The handset is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Exynos processor which is paired with 1GB RAM. The device offers 8GB of onboard storage on the Galaxy J2 (2017) that is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.

The smartphone is equipped with a 5-megapixel rear camera along with an LED flash. Up front, it sports a 2-megapixel front camera sensor. Samsung Galaxy J2 (2017) is backed by a 2000mAh battery and it runs on Android 7.0 Nougat.

The dual-SIM smartphone offers connectivity options like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB. The device measures 136.5x69x8.4mm and weighs 130 grams.
