Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) to soon get Android Nougat update
Since the smartphone has already been certified by Wi-Fi Alliance, it wouldn't be long before Samsung starts rolling out the Nougat update.
Owner of a Samsung Galaxy J5(2016)? Then you are in for a good news. The smartphone running on Android 7.0 Nougat has been spotted on Wi-Fi Alliance's website (via SamMobile). To recall, the Galaxy J5 (2016) was originally launched with Marshmallow 6.0.1 topped with Samsung's TouchWiz UI.
Since the smartphone has already been certified by Wi-Fi Alliance, it wouldn't be long before Samsung starts rolling out the Nougat update. Android Nougat will come with features like split-screen multitasking, more customizable quick settings, improved Google keyboard, enhanced notifications and recent applications window extended battery life etc.
Besides this, the addition of the Quick Reply feature will let users reply from the notification bar itself without opening any app. Under the hood, Google also incorporated new and improved features that would result in a better device performance and battery life. So in simple words, the overall user experience will be improved to a great extent.
To refresh your memory, the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) features a 5.2 inches Super AMOLED display with the resolution of 720×1280 pixels. Under its hood, the phone is powered by a Quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor by Qualcomm that is clocked at 1.2GHz. Pairing the chipset is 2GB of RAM and 16GB of native storage space.
In terms of optics, the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) boasts of a 13MP main snapper at its rear and a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies. Keeping the lights on is a Li-Ion 3100mAh battery with support for USB, microUSB v2.0 and Dual SIM (Micro SIM).
