Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime 2 launched in India: Price, specifications and more
Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime 2 has made its way into India.
Samsung is hitting the rumor mills frequently as it is prepping to unveil the next-generation Galaxy J series smartphones. In the meantime, the company has announced the launch of the Galaxy J7 Prime 2 in India without any fanfare. This smartphone has a fingerprint sensor at its rear and a social camera with many attractive features such as instant edit and share, live stickers and filters.
The Galaxy J7 Prime 2 is listed on the official Samsung India website for Rs. 13,990 along with the "sold out" tag. The smartphone is not available on any other online retailer platforms as yet. The Samsung website has a "Notify Me" button for the interested buyers to get to know when it is available for purchase. Samsung is yet to reveal when exactly this smartphone would be made available for grabs.
Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime 2 adorns a 5.5-inch FHD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Under its hood, the smartphone is listed to be powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7 series processor from the company. This Exynos 7 series processor is said to be the Exynos 7870 SoC. The Exynos 7870 works in conjunction with 3GB RAM as per the listing on the Samsung website. The storage capacity is 32GB by default and can be expanded up to 256GB with the help of a microSD card.
For imaging, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime 2 comes with a 13MP rear camera with an aperture of f/1.9 and another 13MP selfie camera at the front to click selfie shots. The official listing claims that the camera can play FHD 1080p videos at 60 fps. The listing shows that the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime 2 measures 151.7 x 75 x 8 mm and weighs in at 170 grams.
Connectivity wise, the smartphone from Samsung's stable comes with 4G, Bluetooth, GPS and other standard features. A 3300mAh battery pumps enough life to the smartphone to keep the lights turned on. It also arrives with support for Samsung Pay Mini.
